No, but you have to want to go on this trip. The Bible study, solitude, and team discussion are vital parts of the trip and all campers must want to participate in those aspects or the trip and team.

Can my family contact me on trail?

This is a real consideration for many people. Your family will not be able to text you. Being out of cell phone contact can be hard. It’s an opportunity to be fully present and to depend on the Lord.

The cost of trip is $975/person. This includes a guided 6-day 5-night trip, training, all food, all gear, rich programming, a trail (Bible) study, and endless opportunities for spiritual formation.

Can a men’s or co-ed trip go?

Absolutely! We travel as brothers and sister. This is a great opportunity to have healthy relationships, learn and grow together, and for men to have a retreat away to grow and rest.

How will we drive up north?

We’ll carpool to the BWCA from the Cities. The car rides are a great time to start letting go of the pace of city life and start settling into our trip. You’re invited to use the time to bond with others.

How many campers can go?

Optimal group size is 5-6 campers. Groups in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness can be up to 9 people with up to 4 canoes. For the purposes of a Waters of Rest trip, small is better.

There are other great outfitters for you! Waters of Rest is a unique Boundary Waters trip focused on growing in the Lord through personal Bible study, group discussion, and teamwork.

What if we need help on trail?

We have two SOS communication devices. These can be used to call to 911 dispatch for help. You guide is a Wilderness First Responder and we will rely on the whole team to help as needed.
