Spring Wilderness Walks

Summer Boundary Waters Trips

Christ-centered retreats for adults with a unique blend of Bible study, adventure, teamwork, solitude, living simply, and time away from technology in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and more.

Word

To know Jesus - the power of His resurrection and sufferings - through His Word in His creation.

  • To the beauty of God’s creation

To know God through the Bible

To rest, be refreshed, and be restored

  • Enjoy Bible study on trail, seeing God’s Word come alive in His creation. The Bible study is written by your guide as an in-depth, Christ-focused study. Start your trail study during morning solitude and end each day discussing it during team time.

  • Enjoy silence as a group each morning, while enjoying Bible study and breakfast. Find a solitary spot by the lakeshore when you get up. Listen to the wilderness proclaim God’s glory by the mist on the lake and in the gentle sounds of morning.

Wilderness

To experience the life-giving rhythms of being fully present in hard work and rejuvenating rest.

  • Paddle, portage, and camp

    Enjoy pristine lakes and forests

Go on an adventure this summer

  • Experience contentment and freedom traveling light. Give up the many things we think we need to gain what we really need (knowing God). Rest in the expertise of a well-planned packing list and menu intended to keep us warm, dry, and well-fed!

  • Travel without phones or watches for a full wilderness experience. Wake up with the sun, eat when we are hungry, and be fully present. Enjoy living in an unhurried and intentional way.
Group digital camera and SOS beacons provided.

Wholeness

To grow in the redeeming work of Christ in community through vulnerability, openness, and trust.

  • Face-to-face fellowship

    Side-by-side encouragement

    Heart-to-heart conversation

  • Grow closer to one another as we learn to love one another well, put others first, and lay down our preferences. Welcome brokenness and vulnerability as we grow in Jesus.

  • Spend time on trail being restored in the Lord and resting in Him. Let God work in our hearts and lives. Receive some of the benefits of biblical counseling and spiritual formation as a group.
